A swoonworthy romance
Only You was the perfect blend of sweet and sexy. Melanie had me engaged in the story with her fantastic writing and characters. Nate and Emme had an awesome relationship and I loved their banter. When Nate gets an unexpected surprise, that’s when it gets even more interesting. Seeing these two navigate through not only this surprise but also the progression of their friendship was fascinating. This story was full of great emotions. You could be laughing one moment and crying the next. I enjoyed seeing the journeys of both Nate and Emme from beginning to end. I couldn’t get enough of these two-they were just the best. Overall this was great swoon worthy read. I can’t wait for the next two books on Emme’s sisters-they will be entertaining.
Friends Or So Much More...
Nate, a divorce attorney, knows all about love gone wrong. With his job, he sees all kinds of examples how "love" fails. Nate's idea of commitment is an endless stream of one-night stands. As a child, Nate had good examples of love until tragedy struck. Nate knows how painful love can be, thus deciding love is not for him. Until...
Emme is a dreamer. Emme wishes on stars, makes wishes on magic numbers (11:11), and believes in fairytales. But Emme is not so lucky in love. As a wedding planner, Emme believes in happy endings, love and commitment dreaming of the day she will walk down the aisle. Nate is Emme's neighbor who always seems to come to her rescue. Nate and Emme constantly tease, offer advice, and bicker as to who plays the best James Bond.
While watching a Bond movie, Emme and Nate are interrupted by a crying baby. They open Nate's door to find a crying baby and a note. It appears Nate has a baby he knew nothing about. Shocked, Nate faints. Emme, a former nanny, helps Nate take care of Paisley. Working together, Nate starts to realize he likes having Emme around. While Nate realizes that his carefree, single life was lonely he's not ready to give in to his feelings.
I believe this is one of the best Melanie Harlow novels I've read! I LOVED it! Only You had it all....witty banter, heartache, childhood tragedy, cute baby, and the stuff dreams are made of. I thought it hilarious that Emme wished on magic numbers. I thought I was the only one who did that! Lol. I also enjoyed the "guest" appearance of Lucas and Mia. Heartwarming and enjoyable from start to finish. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
Loved Emme and Nate

4 stars for - Only You - by Melanie Harlow. As with most everything Ms. Harlow writes - I am completely sucked in by the characters she creates and have to see them through to their happily ever after. While this was a complete stand-alone we did get to see a bit of the lives of a few much loved couples from previous series.
Emme Devine is a wedding planner that has nothing but bad luck when it comes to finding love. The men she choses are not the right guys for her or at least that what her good friend and hotter than sin neighbor - Nate tells her. She is determined to not make a fool of herself this time and just try and be casual about sex. Emme's plan is working just fine until she tries to tell herself she can do "casual" with Nate.
Nate Pearson is a very successful divorce lawyer that has never once planned on falling in love let alone having any sort of committed relationship. The closest relationship he has is the friendship with his neighbor - Emme. They have been good friends for the last three years and he doesn't want to jeopardize that by crossing the line and getting physical. He can't deny that he has been wanting to make the leap more and more lately though and just when he decides to make his move there is a random knock on his door.
When Nate opens his door he finds a baby...his baby to be exact and all heck breaks loose after that. Nate experiences all seven stages of grief as he lays to rest Playboy Nate and turns into the father/man he never knew he was capable of becoming...

Oh, how I loved this book! There was something absolutely special and amazing about Nate, Emme and Paisley. There was something absolutely lovely about their story.
Emme wanted love. She wanted to find the one she was passionate about, what she wasn’t expecting was for it to be Nate.
Nate didn’t want to fall in love or be a dad. Well... life happened and he got both. One of which he isn’t willing to admit yet.
Watching Nate, Emme and Paisley was so cute. Emme totally had it all together and was there willing to help a clueless Nate when it was needed. Nate on the other hand was a wreck. But together they were absolutely perfect.
There were times I wanted to hit Nate for being stupid, but hey, he’s a man. Watching their story grow and develop was fun and enjoyable. I can’t wait more!
Cute, Fun but predictable
3.5/5 Stars...There are things that I really enjoyed about this book ...but there are also things that made it kind of blah for me.
I’ve been a fan of Melanie Harlow’s since Frenched. Frenched was a story that grabbed me and didn’t let go. In fact, it is the Frenched element within Only You that I loved. Mia and Lucas make an appreciated appearance in this book. I personally love when authors tie their standalone books to others in their libraries. And it was great to reconnect with Mia and Lucas.
I had to laugh at the trials that Nate was thrust into when faced with the immediate reality that he is a dad and that his daughter is 100% dependent on him. Having experienced a newborn I can completely relate with the situation Nate is in. Definitely some lighthearted comedy.
The problem I had with the story was that it felt a bit predictable to me. I could see that Emme was going to save the day and open Nate’s eyes that she’s the One. And of course, seeing a man struggle but not give up on his responsibilities to care for his child is like the ultimate draw for a woman...Emme is no exception.

Elle is a romantic that works as a wedding planner and has had her share of bad luck with guys. Nate, the divorce lawyer that lives in the apartment next to her doesn't believe in relationships because of his past. One night he finds himself in need of help and calls on his friend across the hall. Read the book to find out what happens next.
It is filled with emotion. I was hooked from the very beginning.
5 amazing ⭐️’s
Only You is a well written standalone friends to Lovers romance with all the feels that have you swooning over Nate. Nate is a Devorce lawyer that says there is no such thing as love and Emme is a wedding planner that is in love with love. Even though they are total opposite they have such great chemistry.
I absolutely love anything Melanie Harlow writes, and this book is no exception. I love story line and how their relationship progresses throughout the book. I also loved reading both Emme and Nate’s point of views.
You won’t be disappointed! This book is absolutely amazing 5⭐️!
Terrific friends to lovers story

4-4.5 stars. I enjoyed this one. Great friends to lovers story. Watching Nate learn and grow up, not just through being a dad but also with his feelings for Emme was great. I really liked Emme also - she didn't accept less than she deserved. As usual Ms Harlow brings a good mix of sweet, sexy, funny, and main and side characters that pull you into the story. I can't wait for Emme's sister's story up next in Only Him.
Melanie Harlow did it again! She wrote a book that stole my heart; although, she really didn’t play fair with this one with the whole single dad thing, but I loved it nonetheless.
Only You is a mash up of tropes - friends to lovers, single dad. Harlow never over does it and beautifully meshes the tropes into a sweet, sexy story with cuteness abound, plenty of angst and a sweet romance. Nate will have have you swooning hard one minute, then ready to slap him upside the head the next. Ultimately, you will love him and feel for him. Emme is a great heroine. She is flawed, it recognizes her flaws. She is understanding and she loves hard, but when push comes to shove she doesn’t let herself get pushed around. I think that is one of my favorite things about this book, the realism of the characters. I also loved the return of some familiar faces and how she ties all the characters in.
I loved this book. You will love this book!
Sweet and sexy single dad romance
By Hysteria lane
This friends-to-lovers romance gave me the “feel good” feels. Do you know that easy and comfortable feeling you get from hanging out with old friends? Emme and Nate felt like old friends to me. The two neighbors shared that easy type of friendship that blossomed into so much more. They were such opposites, and you know what they say about opposites. Nate is a commitment-phobe and divorce attorney. Emme is a wedding planner who dreams of finding “the one” to share her life with. Their relationship was filled with a small bundle of drama, a promise of change and some sweet and sexy moments. Only You is one-click worthy.
Trust me: if you enjoy rom-coms with heart and heat... read ANY of Melanie Harlow's books and thank me later!
Her new Contemporary Romance, Only You, is available today. Like the books that precede it, she puts an original spin on familiar story lines. For example, this book contains "opposites attract," "sexy neighbors," "friends to lovers," "single dad," and "swoon fest." What sets it apart from other romances is the author's storytelling, characters, plot, humor, feels, and depth of complexity. Even the infant in the book is a three-dimensional character with a history and authentic traits. Melanie Harlow never does anything half-way, and as a reader: it never gets old.
I LOVE Nate and Emme's story. How they meet, the kind, supportive nature of their friendship, their mutual attraction, and early in the book, they circle the wagons when Nate's world is rocked. As he adjusts to his new normal, he comes to depend on Emme - not just for help with a two-month old daughter, but as a safe harbor in the storms surrounding his life. They both struggle with guarding their hearts from getting involved. How this develops, comes to a head, and is resolved makes for an incredibly satisfying read.
Already looking forward to Melanie Harlow's next book, but then again: I always do.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book.* Some say that the Universe has its own way of letting you know when the time is right. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the journey to get where you hope, isn’t always what you expect. Melanie Harlow presents us with another swoon-worthy romance that will leave you waiting with bated breath. For me, Emme, is the quintessential single woman trying to find her way through the dangerous jungle of dating. And unbeknownst to her, steering clear of the “tiger” in the form of her neighbor, Nate, proves to be a mighty big challenge. With a significant twist of events, their attraction is fiercely tested, but provides for the juiciest and most passionate moments. Each one more palpable than the last.
As with so many Harlow novels, her secondary characters are so well developed. I love the moments of sisterly love and advice that are sprinkled throughout this book. “Only You,” is chock full of characters that you become desperate to know more about, and Emme’s sisters, Maren and Stella are no exception. Beloved Harlow characters that we have come to know and love make appearances that are representative of what we hold near and dear to our hearts.
Each time I was forced to step away from this book, I was itching to come back to it. I was left on the edge waiting to fall or be saved. Melanie Harlow amazes me with each new book, and “Only You” certainly fits the bill.
